La Petite Maison's Bikini – How to Make It

We present an easy version of a beverage found on a new drinks list. Designed as a large-volume premix that's loaded with essence associated with Christmas time, making it perfect for your festive gathering. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup you can use for brunch beverages, desserts, or to mix additional servings of bikinis.

The Bikini Cocktail

Makes enough for 10 people

For the Clementine Syrup (yields 750ml)

300ml fresh clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g caster sugar

Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)

400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml clementine syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, for garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch

Directions

Making the Syrup: Combine all the components inside a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, agitating until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the stove and leave to cool down entirely. Transfer to a clean bottle, cap it keeping it chilled, where it will keep for around four weeks.

For the Batch Mix: Pour all the spirits and syrup into a big jug, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then filter it preferably using a fine cloth, making it completely strained.

When ready to serve: Measure 85ml of the premix to a mixing glass packed with ice, and agitate lightly for about 60 seconds to chill. Pour into a chilled martini glass or equivalent, top with some cranberries and complete it with a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the drink.
