Trio Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Prize

Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the upcoming Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The trio have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the last year.
Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.
Littler won the award in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.
The 2025 recipient will be unveiled on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.
The ceremony will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.
She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in incredible form as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a highlight for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin came in second place in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.
"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more young females to get into cricket."
